Qualcomm - Satellite Based Communications

Situation

Qualcomm is one of the world's largest manufacturers of cellular and satellite based communications systems. Their OmniTracs system is used by fleet trucking companies to track and dispatch their long and short haul carriers. With each new release of the OmniTracs software, the company had an obligation to train and retrain their clients. The cost to do this in person was prohibitive, requiring extensive travel and on-site time.

Computer Based Training

We developed a computer based training program that covered the basic use of the OmniTracs system. The disk was sent out for independent use to all existing customers to be used for refresher and retraining activities, and to support new hires at these customer sites. The CBT was also used as a leave-behind at all new installations to serve as a refresher for recent workshop trainees.
