Ideal Industries - Cable and Optical Test Devices

Situation

Ideal's cable and network testers are used worldwide for installation and maintenance of optical and copper based network systems. They are used by field technicians, who are required to analyze complex network problems, but who often have only minimal formal education. And, in a telecom environment, they are usually burdened with a large volume of documentation to support these complex and regulated systems.

End User Documentation

We developed a series of print manuals and job aids to support these field technicians, with an emphasis on ease of use, illustrations, and simple, clear language. Then, we converted these materials to highly linked Acrobat files that could be easily referenced in the field.
