Eaton-Vorad - Collision Avoidance Systems

Situation

Eaton-Vorad Corporation was founded as a joint venture of Eaton Technologies to develop innovative applications of their radar based collision avoidance technology. This system, designed to provide early warning and a measure of control of a vehicle in danger of a rear-end collision, had particular attraction for the long-haul trucking and transportation (bus) industries.

Training Program

We developed a series of media based classroom training programs for Eaton-Vorad's growing chain of installer-distributors. This system required the use of sophisticated test and alignment devices to prepare and test the vehicle based radar system. The course covered the mechanical and electronic requirements for system implementation and configuration, as well as ongoing maintenance for large fleet customers.
